Up Next in our Varietal Series...
This year we relaunched our Varietal series as a rotating, single-hop series available both on draft and in package. We kicked off the series with Varietal: Simcoe, a double IPA showcasing Simcoe hops. This Friday, we're excited to release the next featured brew of the series, Varietal: Amarillo.
From the Brewmaster, Andy Jones, himself:
This Belgian Pale Ale is inspired in part by Houblon Chouffe, a Belgian IPA brewed by Brasserie d'Achouffe in the Ardennes region of Belgium, which features Amarillo hops along with Tomahawk and Saaz. If you haven't tried this beer, or all of the other d'Achouffe beers available in the US, I highly recommend that you seek them out!
I'm excited about this one because I really think the lemony citrus of Amarillo hops will shine alongside the spicy, fruity notes of the Belgian yeast. I'm also really excited because the next batch we're making with this yeast is Audacity Quad - one of my personal favorites - which will go into port and rum barrels for the summer and come out when the weather starts to get cool again. Hope you all enjoy it! Cheers!
Join us in the taproom this Friday, April 26 for the release of Varietal: Amarillo!
